I forgot to mention that his father brought my mother and girlfriend to our graduation from boot camp in 1951. Bennie had a great personality and we had great times together.

Bennie and I were in high school in Lynchburg. We joined the naval reserve and were called to activate duty in 1951. We went to boot camp at Bainbridge, Maryland. After we
served two years and discharged, we stayed in contact for a number of years. I moved to Virginia Beach and lost touch with Bennie. The last time I heard from him was in 1980 when my son died.

While it´s so hard to lose a parent, it´s comforting to know that your Dad and Mom are together again. I remember many laughs that were shared by our parents. Our sympathies to all of you.
