Celebrating the Life of Benjamin Leyendecker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Benjamin "Ben" Leyendecker, who departed this life on November 10, 2025, at the age of 40.

Born on January 22, 1985, in Kennewick, Washington, Ben was raised in Minnesota alongside his brother, Brian, where the two developed a passion for karate. His dedication and talent led him to compete-and often place-in the Diamond Nationals. After graduating high school, Ben continued to share his love of martial arts as a karate instructor for some time, inspiring many students with his skill and patience.

A gifted craftsman, Ben found joy in working with his hands, whether through woodworking projects, tinkering with cars or fishing. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit, infectious humor, and the good-natured pranks he loved to play on friends and family.

Above all, Ben's greatest pride and joy were his two daughters, Jaylee and Emma, who will forever carry his spirit and love in their hearts. He is also survived by his parents, Jo Ann Miller and Gary Leyendecker; his brother, Brian Leyendecker; his nephew, Noah; his niece, Juniper; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ben was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Kim and Joseph Leyendecker; his grandparents, Elmer and Alvira Leyendecker, and Raymond and Zeta Miller; as well as his aunts, Amy Leyendecker and Mary Bonlender; and his uncles, Jim Leyendecker and Ron Miller.

Ben's warmth, laughter, and creativity will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in eternal peace.

A memorial service to celebrate Ben's life will be scheduled at a later date.
