Benjamin Meyers Obituary
DELMAR - Benjamin Lawton Meyers, 85, passed on January 2, 2026. Husband to Eileen (Ellie); father to Stephen of Delmar and Ravena, Nicole Shambo; and grandson, Nicholas Shambo of Forestville, N.Y. Ben started Meyers Funeral Home in 1968 and had the foresight to start Cremation Funeral Service in the 1970s. Ben was a member of numerous organizations. He was a unique individual marching to his own drum. He read everything financial he could get his hands on, the biggest risk taker, and never afraid of anything. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment.
Friends may call at the funeral home, Friday, 3-6:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Capital City Mission, 259 South Pearl St., Albany, N.Y. 12202.
Interment in Silver Creek, N.Y.

I am so sorry to hear of your dad´s passing. I wish I could´ve attended his services. You and your dad have been so wonderful and compassionate to my family in the time of need. I will always be grateful and appreciate you both for being there to make a difficult time easier not only for my family but, the many families you both have served and helped during a loss.
