Benjamin Dale Reed, 75, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.
Born and raised in Bath, New York, Benjamin carried with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and love of the outdoors throughout his life. He later made his home in Santa Clarita and Burbank, California, and eventually Laughlin, Nevada.
Benjamin dedicated many years of service as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Burbank. He took great pride in his work and in contributing to the community he called home. Known for his strong work ethic and steady presence, he earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work, Benjamin found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting, passions that reflected his appreciation for nature and the quiet moments it offered. Whether casting a line or spending time in the wilderness, he was happiest surrounded by the outdoors he cherished.
He is survived by his loving children, Benjamin Reed II and Jennifer Reed; his sisters, Eldora Horner and Cheryl Reed; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George Reed and Flora Reed as well as his brothers Roland Reed, Walter Reed, George Reed, and his sister Audrey Clark.
Benjamin will be remembered for his strength, dedication to his family, and the simple, enduring values by which he lived. His memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be held at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 pm. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery on Friday at 12:00 pm.
