Benjamin D. Yoder, 67, of London, died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Ben was born December 17, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Jean (Greider) Yoder. He was a farmer for most of his life, which he enjoyed immensely. Ben was a member of the Saint Patrick Church, London, where he became a Brother Knight and the Grand Knight of the Knights Of Columbus, Father Reidy Council #1786. More than anything else he loved spending time with the love of his life, his wife Jane. Ben is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane Eileen (Schiebrel) Yoder; daughters: Eileen Van Horn (Paul) Orr, Erica Van Horn (Matthew) Goodyear; siblings: Peter (Maryette) Yoder, Jhan (Dan) Yoder-Wyse, Barb (Dennis) Graber; grandchildren: Peter Ouellette, Sarah Ouellette, and Claire Van Horn; nieces and nephews: Max (Wind)Wyse, Rosa (Nathan) Vader-Wyse, Joseph Wyse, Benjamin Graber, Eliza Graber, Samuel (Elise) Yoder, Noah (Harrison Haas) Yoder, and Matilda Yoder; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Steve (Rebecca) Schiebrel, Mark (Sharon) Schiebrel, Judy (Ray) Blomquist, Paula (Gary) Mangan, Amy Gullia, Kevin Schiebrel, Tony Schiebrel; nieces and nephews: Kelly (Chris) Dorman, Matt Stienlage, Adam Schiebrel, Jamie (John) Ross, Luke Tislow, Emily (Jeff) Limberg, Josh (Stephani) Schiebrel, Clay Schiebrel,and Mindy Schiebrel; dear friends: Anne Pickens, Diane Pickens, Teri Hahn, Patty Evans, Steve Hackett, and entire Van Horn family. Ben has been preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date, yet to be determined. Ben's family has requested that in lieu of any flowers that friends would make donations to the Knights of Columbus, Father Reidy Council #1786, 60 South Union St, London, Ohio 43140. Ben's arrangements have been entrusted to the Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 East High Street, London. Online condolences may be sent to [email protected].
