Benny Lamar Biddy, age 84, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025. He was born June 4, 1941 to Fletcher and Agatha Biddy in Tate. He was a member of Free Hope Baptist Church.
Benny was an avid horseback rider and farrier by trade for over sixty years in Pickens County as well as surrounding counties. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed nature.
Benny is survived by his sister, Mildred Biddy Danforth of North Carolina; brother, Moses Jacob Biddy of Austell; and sister, Martha Biddy Clark of Ball Ground. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Brown Biddy; son, Lonnie Lamar Biddy; siblings, Fletcher Biddy, Jr., Hubert Biddy, Delores Biddy Rouzee, Gerald Biddy, Ann Biddy Cowart, Lowell Biddy, Glenda Biddy Godfrey, Charlie Biddy, Beth Biddy Meers, and Baby Sister Jeanette.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Mathew Meers officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, June 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Equine Advocates of N. Georgia, Inc. in memory of Benny Biddy.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
