Benny J Potter, a beloved Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle and YouTube Star, has left behind a legacy that his family and friends will forever cherish. Throughout his life, Benny was a beacon of joy and laughter to all those around him.
From his early days in Warwick, Rhode Island, where he pursued his education at High School, to his time spent serving in the United States Army for 8 honorable years, Benny exemplified traits of generosity, humor, and unwavering care for others. He was not just a heavily decorated Soldier but also managed to earn his bachelor's degree in business during his military service—a testament to his dedication and resilience.
Benny was described as a whirlwind in the best of ways; Sweeping up everyone he met to experience new things and expand their horizons. He met his wife through a nearly impossible means playing Final Fantasy XI Online, and by the time they met in person, she'd already let herself be swept up too. Nathalie may have traveled to a new country to be with her husband, but she was more than happy to do so. They were each other's world, and no matter where they lived, they knew that "home" was with each other.
Benny had a soft spot for helping those in need, it didn't stop at his family. When his brother Andrew got out of the military, Benny offered him the opportunity to come out and work with him on his channel. Benny knew that army life was hard and explained that he thought he should live a little easier for a while.
Benny never had a hard time finding the right words, he was loud and boisterous. Growing up his family described Benny as having two distinct volumes—Awake and Asleep—Benny's vibrant personality shone through in every interaction. Never one to shy away from noise and laughter, except during the serene early mornings when he found solace in quiet moments with the latest comics. His infectious energy and love for life were truly unmatched.
Benny was excited about everything he did and threw himself into a task without abandon. He was always finding new hobbies to take up. Not content with easing himself in and instead charging forward at full speed.
Benny had a deep passion for comic books, superheroes, movies, and video games—an enthusiasm that he shared wholeheartedly with others. His ability to engage in endless discussions about his hobbies and interests left a lasting imprint on anyone fortunate enough to have known him. Benny's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his YouTube Channel, Comicstorian—a platform where he brought joy and entertainment to countless individuals worldwide. Through his channel, Benny's creativity knew no bounds as he shared his love for comics with an ever-growing community of fans.
In this time of mourning, Benny is survived by his loving wife Nathalie Potter, devoted parents Arthur and Michele Potter, caring brothers Andrew and Daniel Potter, beloved sisters Sierra and Rachel Potter, as well as nephews Isaac and Adam. While the world may feel a little dimmer without him, the memories of Benny's genuine warmth and bright spirit will continue to illuminate our lives.
As we bid farewell to this extraordinary individual who touched so many hearts with his humor and kindness, let us celebrate the life of Benny J Potter—a man who truly lived each day to its fullest and brought smiles to all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing that he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
