Berdene Nuebel Obituary
Berdene was born August 24, 1919 to Hugh and Angeline (Robinson) Dunn in Armour, SD. She attended school in Armour and graduated from Armour High School. She was united in marriage to Norbert Nuebel on October 2, 1944 in Delmont, SD. The couple moved to Parkston, SD where Berdene worked as a waitress at Starlite Lanes and was activities director at the Senior Citizen's Center. Later, she worked for M-Tron and Ravens, retiring in 1986. In her retirement, she enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. Berdene was an avid seamstress and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading and was always ready for a baseball game. She was always on hand to watch her grandchildren in their numerous activities. Berdene went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston at the age of 97.
Grateful for having shared her life are her 3 children: John (Ellen) Nuebel of Libertyville, IL; Beverly Nuebel of Mitchell, SD; and Debby (Leonard) Nolz of Parkston; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Nuebel of Parkston; 10 grandchildren: Jeff Nuebel, Stacey Kurinec, Tim Nuebel, Jamie Nuebel, Kristy Ehlebracht, Mike Nuebel, Tyler Nolz, Brady Nolz, Amy Nolz and Tanna Nolz; and 6 great-grandchildren: Grant, Mya, Burke, Jax, Kennedy and Matt Nuebel and Haley Ehlebracht.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert; a son, Terry; daughter-in-law, Marlene; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; and her father and mother-in-law.
