Her Legacy Bernadette Elizabeth Rybski, 100, entered eternal life October 23, 2024. She was born in 1924, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Dornoff and Adeline (Champagne) Dornoff. Bernadette married the love of her life, Anthony (Tony) Rybski, on May 4, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan. Bernadette was incredibly devoted to her faith, family, friends and her church. She carried on Tony's tradition of passing out rosary rings to many; she was the essence of love, it radiated from her. Bernadette was always optimistic, and had a wonderful outlook on life which involved her beautiful sense of humor. Her whole life was a labor of love, loved beyond words by all who knew her.
Her Family Bernadette's legacy will be carried on through her children, Anita (Frank) Grapentien, David (Bonnie) Rybski, Pat (Carl) Bernhardt, Cathy (Allen) Watts, Dianne (Brian) Doren, Robert (Gail) Rybski, John (Judy) Rybski; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Rybski; parents, Joseph and Adeline Dornoff; children, Timothy Rybski, Nancy Rybski, Suzanne Rybski; and her siblings.
Her Farewell Bernadette's family and friends will gather Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 2:00PM-8:00PM (6PM Rosary), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. Monsignor John Budde and Fr. Marko Djonovic will serve as Celebrants. Memorial contributions are suggested to Capuchin Soup Kitchen or Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
