Bernadette Schaffer Obituary
Bernadette was born in Rockford, IL on January 14, 1949, daughter of Erwin Dach and Virginia Fox. She graduated from Bishop Muldoon Catholic High School, Class of 1967. Bernadette married Roger D. Schaffer at St. James Catholic Church in Rockford on August 14, 1971. She was very generous and active in her faith as she donated to many local charities, including St. Jude's and the Rockford Rescue Mission. Bernadette enjoyed watching movies and spending time with her family, especially her dear grandchildren. She also had a special love for her cat and all animals. Bernadette will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving relatives include her children, Ed (Mandy) Schaffer and Eric Schaffer; grandchildren, Eden, Eddie, Luke and Max Schaffer; sisters, Collette (Louis) Hill and Annette (Leroy) Welch; nephew, Louis T. (Christa) Hill; nieces, Tricia (Mark) Yone and Brandi (Zachary) Scalzitti; great-nieces and nephews, Chase, Addison, Joscelyn, Greyson and Irelyn. She is predeceased by her parents and husband, Roger.
