Bernadette Jacqueline White Hawk was born on January 6, 1956 in Pine Ridge, SD to Steven Black Bear and Roselyn (White Hawk) Brothers. Bernadette made her journey to the Spirit World on January 18, 2023 at the Human Services Center in Yankton, SD.
Bernadette is survived by her mother, Roselyn (White Hawk) Brothers; siblings, Dolly Brothers, Meredith Black Bear, Nathan Yellow Lodge, and Raymond Yellow Lodge; children, Earleen Janis, Heather "Rachel" (Shawnna) Janis, Wahacanka Tall, Amanda (John) Eder, Amber Tall, Stephanie Tall, and Jessica Tall; hunka daughter, Sharon Black Eyes; grandchildren, Aaliyah Janis, Romeo Valle, Gracelia Janis, Teejay Cottier, Cherie Cottier, Tatum Tall, Darrent Tall, Roselynn Tall, Payton Tall, Wahacanka Tall II, Andreya Tall, Rylee Tall, Maurkice Tall, Braxtan Tall, Lucette Tall, John Eder, Jr., Mato Eder, Kaleb Eder, Noah Eder, Drew Eder, Monroe Tall, Mackenzie Tall, Morgan Tall, Maddox Tall, Nathan Ghost III, Lailah Ghost, Casius Ghost, Boss Ghost, Tray'Sean Tall, Jackie Janis, Ashley Bagola, LaSondra Tall, LaRiah & LaRaine Tall, Laurel Tall, Hermis & Earl Tall, Riley Boerschig, Darion Tall, Eunice Chase Alone, and Natalia Tall; great grandchildren, TaKara Cottier, Liam Whirlwind Horse, Lyla Cottier, Laelyn Cottier, Waniyetu Janis, Kai'leigh Tall, Bryson Janis, Joylette Janis, Jordyn Bagola, Yvette Bagola, Lorenzo Gibbons, and Rosalina Gibbons; and nieces & nephews, Sage, Crystal, Frankie, & Dylan Brothers.
