I met Bernie in the early 90's when he was "almost my Brother-in-Law". Bernie always had an update or story about his kids or his grandkids. He was very proud of all of them. Of course, Bernie also had life stories to share... and I will miss hearing all of Bernie's stories. He was and is a great guy. Rest in Peace, my Friend.

To the relatives of Bernie,
I remember Bernie. I rode the same school bus that he did......He was always a friendly guy. Had the confidence that he was comfortable in his own skin. And always exuded an 'inner happiness'. I never got to see Bernie after he graduated from school, he went on with his plans. I get to Park Rapids quite frequently during the summer, but of course when we lose track of school mates, we do really lose track......and never know where they are, so it is with sad acknowledge to give my farewell to whom I considered a gentleman, and will never forgot him......May he rest in peace. Amen
