Bernard "Bunny" Bostic

Bernard Bostic, age 61 of Detroit, died peacefully at Harper Hospital on November 11, 2022. Bernard, known as Bunny, was born on May 2, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan and was the youngest son of ten children born to Augusta and Mary Bostic who both preceded him in death. Bunny graduated from Martin Luther King High School in 1980. He was baptized at an early age at Harvest Baptist Church. Later, he attended services at Peacemakers International.
Bernard married the love of his life Lenora (Lindsey) Bostic on December 14, 1984 and with this union they had 3 beautiful children, one stepson Johnnie C. Lindsey, 2 daughters, Phette Darnisha Lindsey, Mary Alicia Bostic.
Bernard worked as a landscaper and a handyman. He didn't care how hot or cold it was outside; he knew he had to get the job done. Bunny was always helping people in the neighborhood, by running errands for them or repairing household things. Lenora (Peaches) said he couldn't sit still. Bunny deeply loved and cared for his family. He had a good heart and will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Lenora, daughters Phette Darnisha Lindsey and Mary Alicia Bostic, stepson Johnnie C. Lindsey, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 6 siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Bernard was greeted in heaven by his parents Augusta and Mary Bostic and his siblings; Jolynn Rhinehart, Fred Morgan and Gregory Bostic.
A memorial service will take place at Chas. Verheyden Inc. Shultz Chapel, 21705 Gratiot Ave. Eastpointe, MI 48021 on Thursday, December 1 from 12 pm to 4 pm.
