Bernard Brudzinski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 13, 2009.
Bernard Brudzinski, 92, of Schenectady died suddenly on Sunday September 13, 2009 at Ellis Hospital. He was born in Scranton, PA. Bernard moved with his wife from Scranton in 1951 to Schenectady. He was employed for over 40 years as a Bartender. Dad loved people and people loved Dad, but his number one priority in life was his wife- Josephine. Dad loved baseball; unfortunately he was a Red Sox Fan. He enjoyed going to polish dances and family parties. We can hear him say to Mom, what do want for lunch "Sweetie "that was her nickname. As time passed, then someone else became very special and earned the name "Little Sweetie", his Daughter in law- Cindi. I would go over to him and his first comment would be where is Cindi? Dad was a great man, strong and caring. When Mom left us, Cindi and I saw a change in Dad, he lost the love of his life. We will always miss him but we know that he is where he wants to be, with his Sweetie. Dad throughout all the years, we were together, I admired you for the way you took care of everyone. I just hope I can follow in your footsteps and be the man you always were. I will always love you-Ron. Bernard is predeceased by his wife Josephine Mary Witts Brudzinski whom he married August 11, 1945. He is survived by his son Ronald Brudzinski (Cindi) of Schenectady, one brother Joe Brudzinski of Scranton, PA, two step grandchildren Laurie Dobreski and Mike Dobreski, two step great grandchildren Michael and Shayne, his brother and sister in laws- Gene Witts of Cleveland, Ohio, Eleanor McClaine of Rotterdam, Bill and Helen Witts of Schenectady, Flo Conway of Denver, CO, Lala Gladys Thibault of Rotterdam and Eleanor Witts of Albany. Funeral services will be Friday 8:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 9AM at the Church of St. Adalbert Lansing Street Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Thursday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Rotterdam.
