Bernard Davey Obituary
He leaves behind siblings Peter (Missy), Dolores "Sis" (Patrick), and Philip (Linda) and was predeceased by brothers Leonard (Ginny) and Paul. He is also survived by his wife, Pat (Hanley) Davey; children Matt (Bonnie), Bernie (Jackie), Monica (Laura), Michelle (Scott), and Tricia (Denine); 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Born in San Francisco to Peter and Grace (Mellor) Davey, Bernie was a graduate of St. Cecilia's Grammar School and Abraham Lincoln High School. Bernie served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957. He and Pat married in April of 1959, together they raised their children and shared 66 loving years of marriage. A career electrician, Bernie was a 66-year member of IBEW Local 617 and worked for 13 years with the City and County of San Francisco at the San Francisco Airport.
Bernie gave back to his community by volunteering his time with the Friends in Serving Humanity Program, counseling people who had undergone coronary artery bypass surgery, as he had, donating blood and platelets regularly, and performing in the Chickens' Ball fundraising show. He was a proud member of the Native Sons of the Golden West, South San Francisco Parlor #118. A lifelong 49ers and Giants fan, Bernie also enjoyed raising canaries, fishing, creating beautiful stained glass objects, and being with his family. Bernie will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at St. Charles Church, 880 Tamarack Ave., San Carlos on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
