I have many memories of Bernie as he always taken care of me with my family decisions always comforting never had a care in the world with making final arrangements for any situation at the time and truly a one of a kind beautiful soul. rest in peace Bernie I´m very sorry for the loss to all of your family, Bernie will always be remembered and loved very much, my prayers to everyone

Bernie Sr was always a friendly, comforting face in a time of great sorrow. And he was a wonderful, funny man. He not only took care of many people in this community & city, but he had lots of love for his huge family. His legacy lives on in his children & grandchildren and he will be missed.

back in the mid seventies, bernie was the leader of the hillight's. he was agood friend and man. sorry i could'nt attend personnaly . i am recovering from illness. my deepest condolences to the family. albert parson 3rd.

My condolences to the O'Brien Family. Mr. O'Brien truly was another one of those good ones as they say. Speaking on behalf of my family there is not enough space to add all of the memories! Bernie and I were close friends for years, as a friend of Bill W I was fortunate enough to spend a good deal of time with him, the help he extended to myself and family was immeasurable, my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Bernie touched many lives with warmth and respect. He has taken care of our family for over 40 years. We always felt he treated us in a special way. But that's how he treated everyone. We've lost a rare soul. God bless him and his family.

Our family (Joseph and Theresa Ahearn)grew up at 3974 Brighton Rd and knew all the O´briens back on Brandon Rd. And grade school at St.Cyril´s. Bill Jr.was my youngest brother Marty Ahearn age,Tom Ahearn was 3 yrs older, and Joe and I , Kathleen Ahearn (twins) were 4 yrs. Older. We always had our families funerals at your funeral home and were treated special by Wm.F.O´Brien Sr. And Bernie O´Brien Sr. With sincere sympathy to all his family.
From, Kathleen Ahearn Brewer in Wexford ,and son Jim Brewer in (West View) , he played with some of Bernie´s kids, "The Hillites" on Cornell St. years ago.

Our family has used O'Briens funeral service for many decades, and Bernie was such a great person in our time of need. Bernie was a true Northside guy, had stories to make you laugh into next week. My family loves you Bernie, you were truly a GREAT person, THANK YOU a thousand times over!!!

I will always fondly remember Bernie and his incredible stories.
