Trapp, Bernard "Bernie" F

August 29, 1927 - May 24, 2024

Bernard "Bernie" Trapp, age 96, of Omaha, passed away May 24, 2024, at the Hospice House in Omaha. Born in St. Joseph, MO, on August 29, 1927. At 17, he joined the Navy to serve during WWII. Bernie most enjoyed time with family, kettle days, horse races, playing pinochle, apple orcharding, and serving mass. He worked for International Harvester as a bookkeeper for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Stratman) Trapp; parents, Bernard (Ben) and Barbara (Seibel) Trapp; and son-in-law, Tom Vaselakos.

Bernie is survived by his children, Theresa (Tom) Vaselakos of Spring, TX; Donald (Karin Hinchick) of Westminster, CO; Virginia (Harry) Wallar of Neola, IA; Thomas (Rosalie Wall) Trapp; Michelle (Shelli) (Chris) Leick; Michael (Jackie Jindra) Trapp, all of Omaha; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL, Friday May 31, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 3601 N 65th St., Omaha. The mass will be livestreamed at https://heartstreaming.link/bernard-ftrapp.
