Bernard Joseph Wagner, "B.J.", 57, of Niles, Illinois, passed away after a battle with Esophageal cancer.
After graduating from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary School and St. Benedict High School, B.J. entered the HVAC industry, where he became a skilled technician.
He loved sharing a good bonfire with family and friends, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, canoeing and camping. B.J. shed light in every room and loved a good joke.
Beloved husband of 17 years to Ann Marie "Annie" Elizabeth Wagner (nee Hayes), whom he had known since first grade. Cherished son of Angela Rose Papineau (nee temple) and Ken Papineau of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Dear brother of Cathy Lindblad, Mary Walton, Marla Pewitt, Carla Pewitt, and Kimberly "Kimmy" Wagner Hill. Uncle of Daniel, Jessica, and many others. Great friend of many.
Preceded in death by father Carlton Bernard Wagner, best friend Myron Force, and black lab Scooter.
A Mass of Intention is being said Wednesday, August 14, 8:30am at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
