Bernarda Arana

Our beloved Bernarda (Mami Berna) Arana, 84, of Cranston passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Monday November 10th, at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Longino Arana for sixty-four years. Mami Berna was the heart of our family, a bottomless well of love - filling our lives with laughter, kindness, and her savory dishes which she loved to cook for those she cherished.
Born in Villa Nicolas Romero, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Piedad (DeLuz) Osnaya. Mrs. Arana had been a resident of Cranston for the past twenty years. She had a long history of working in textiles before retiring as a spooler for Knitted Structures Inc.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Amelia Blancas, Marissa Bustamante, Norma Gama and MariaElena Arana; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will remember and miss her every minute of the days to come.
