Bernardita Madrid Obituary
Bernie was born in Chama, New Mexico to Jose B. Madrid and Refujio Gonzales Madrid.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Johnny, Sisto, David, Emilio, Jerry, and Jesse Madrid, and her sisters, Erma Greyeyes, Mary Madrid, and Margaret Duran.
Bernie is survived by her brothers, Baltazar Madrid, Salomon Madrid, Joe Madrid, and Louis Madrid, and by her sisters, Julia Garcia and Margaret Valdez.
She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Bernie's Pallbearers are Cyrus Garcia, Nicole Ogaz, Marcos Greyeyes, Alejandro Greyeyes, Tamara Valdez, and Tabetha Ortiz.
Bernie's Honorary Pallbearers are all of her nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Services for Bernie will take place in Chama, New Mexico on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 at the Chama Valley Worship Center at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at the Chama Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Former Sonny's Cafe, with the time TBD.
