Bernice Gill Obituary
Bernice M. Gill, of Florence, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her home at the age of 71.
Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm and again on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, with a funeral service immediately following in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Mrs. Gill will be laid to rest in Dennis Cemetery in Lake following the service.
Mrs. Gill was born September 1, 1953, to Robert L. Dennis and Vinie Beatrice Howell Dennis. She worked for the rock yard in Canton, Mississippi, for many years. She was a devoted wife to Raymond Gaddis Gill for over forty years until his passing in October of 2024. She enjoyed road trips to places like Memphis, the mountains, and the coast with her sister, Bobbie, however, she never stayed away for too long, as she always wanted to get back to her Raymond.
She is survived by her sons, Dale Young (Melinda) and Casey Young (Regina); grandsons, Blain and Nickolas Young; and sisters, Bobbie Beaver and Tonia Dennis.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vinie Dennis, and her beloved husband, Raymond Gill.
