Bernice V. LaBelle

Bernice V. LaBelle, age 78, formerly of Sussex County, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at York Hospital in York PA. She was born on July 10, 1939, in Richmond, VA to the late Emmett P. and Lucille Haden White. She was a homemaker, devoted to caring for husband, children, and grandchildren. Bernice spent time crocheting blankets and gifts for family and friends, solving crossword puzzles, and listening to country music while sipping on some sweet tea. She is survived by her children, Albert J. LaBelle, and his companion, Kelly Folkenroth, of Seven Valleys, PA, Eugene J. LaBelle, of Sussex County, DE, and Gloria Osgood, of Wilmington, DE; two sisters, Virginia Kirwin, and Alice Louise Groton; and eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Alphonse E. LaBelle, and two brothers. A visitation will be held from 10AM to 1PM on Monday, November 13, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. A graveside committal will follow at Bethel cemetery.
