Bernice McNabb Obituary
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Bernice Faye McNabb, age 83, announce she passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, surrounded by loving family. She was born in Trinidad, Colorado on January 13, 1940. Her family moved to Belen, NM where her father was a train engineer for Santa Fe Railroad. She was a 1958 graduate of Belen High School. After graduation, she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Albuquerque as a switchboard operator and then ended her career retiring from Los Lunas Hospital and Training School. In her late teens, she met the love of her life, Kenneth McNabb. They built their life together in Belen raising their children, Carla, Lorna, and Kevin. Bernice was a kind, hardworking woman that did not take life for granted, and loyally loved her family and friends. She had a very fond love of our country, the United States flag, and conservative moral values.
Bernice loved Jesus with all her heart. The family takes solace in knowing that Bernice's last breath in life was followed by her first breath in Heaven.
Preceded in death by: her husband Kenneth McNabb, her mother and father, Donald and Dina Stubblefield, Ronald Stubblefield (brother), Donna Milligan (sister), Jimmy Stubblefield (brother), Grady Garner (son-in-law) and many other beloved relatives.
Survived by: Carla Whinnery (daughter), Lorna Garner (daughter), Kevin and Brenda McNabb (son and wife). Corey Whinnery; Payson Whinnery; Jordan, Devyn and Kason Garner; Justin Garner; Gregg, Rae, Lucas, Ellie, Olivia, Ezekiel and Cyrus Chavez; RaeAnn, Jordan, Joanah, Julia, Noah and Jaynee Jimenez; Jace McNabb. Janice Milligan (sister). Lillie McNabb (sister-in-law). Larry McNabb (brother-in-law). Jackie Barber (sister-in-law). She is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces and cousins.
