Bernice Osborn (Carter)

Bernice Osborn (Carter), 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2026, in Clovis, California. Born in Wharton, Arkansas, Bernice lived a life rooted deeply in faith, family, and devotion. She became a member of Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in 1965 and remained steadfast when the congregation merged into New Hope Community Church in 1992. Her faith in Christ was the foundation of her life, and today we rejoice knowing she is at home in Heaven. Bernice dedicated 57 seasons of faithful service as a Supervisor at Del Monte Corporation in Kingsburg, California. She was respected for her strength, leadership, and unwavering work ethic. Above all, Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She lovingly cared for her family and found joy in quilting, creating handmade treasures that will continue to warm generations. Her favorite song, "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You," reflected her longing for eternal reunion with loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles L. Osborn; her daughter, Charlene Dooms; and her son, Charles L. Osborn Jr. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren: Kevin Dooms, Keith Dooms, and Saskia Osborn; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held March 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Community Church. Though we grieve, we find comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope of one day strolling over Heaven together.
