Bernice P. Rudnick

Bernice P. Rudnick, age 88 of Glendive, Montana passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Eastern Montana Veteran's Home in Glendive. Private family graveside services will be held in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Bernice was born March 6, 1937 in Gackle, North Dakota to her parents, Arthur and Violet (Block) Gumke. She was raised and educated in Jud, North Dakota where she graduated from Jud High School with the class of 1955. Following high school she attended Jamestown Business College in Jamestown, North Dakota. After finishing her education, Bernice was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Rudnick on September 28, 1958 in Jamestown. They made their home in Jamestown where Bernice was employed by Farmers Union Insurance. Bob and Bernice moved to Sidney, Montana in 1971 where Bernice started her career with Montana Dakota Utilities (MDU). In 1975, they moved to Glendive where she continued with MDU and later retiring from WBI Energy in 1996.

Bernice was a member of the GMC Auxiliary and Our Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends and loved watching all of her grandson's sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob and two brothers, Floyd and Clifford Gumke.

She is survived by her children, Tim Rudnick of Jamestown, Robyn (Terry) Hood of Glendive, three grandsons, Travis (Andrea) Hood of Glendive, Steven Hood of Glendive and Ryan (Paige) Hood of Dickinson, North Dakota; three great grandchildren, Grayson, Blakely and Parker as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
