Bernice Stone

Bernice Stone, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on September 26th, 2025. She was born on November 28th, 1938 in Alicia, Arkansas to Buster and Lena (Perrin) Fossey. She was the oldest of four children. Bernice married Daniel Dale Stone on March 12, 1958. They raised four children together.
She loved her flower garden, wearing jewelry and bling. She loved dressing in her western wear and going dancing with her partner and companion of the last 17 years, Lee Bounds.
Bernice is survived by her daughters Belinda (John) Poole of Scranton, AR; Sherry (Homer) Gifford of Highland, AR; Tonia (Ritt) Stevens of Ravenden Springs, AR; Rhonda Stone of Cherokee Village, AR; her partner Lee Bounds; as well as by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Daniel Dale Stone; son Lester Stone; Son-in-law Greg Fender; as well s by 1 grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers.
Visitation services for Mrs. Bernice will be held on Tuesday, September 30th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Wortham Funeral Home Oak Hill Chapel, with funeral services being held on Wednesday, October 1st at 2:00 P.M at the same location. Interment will be held after at Turkey Pen Cemetery in Highland, Arkansas.
