Bernice Olga Muesse Valentine

Bernice Olga Muesse Valentine, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed from this life on December 13, 2025, at the age of 94, surrounded by family. She was born on October 12, 1931 in Malone, TX to Louis Paul Muesse and Mary Freda Sonnenberg Muesse.

Bernice married the love of her life, Richard Louis Valentine, on October 7, 1947.

She was a devoted Christian lady who loved the Lord. She loved reading her bible, and her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm.

Bernice was a beacon of love, warmth, and kindness and always gave so much to everyone around her. Her gentle spirit, laughter, and the way she made every moment brighter will forever live in our hearts. She will also be remembered for her sense of humor and her tender loving care for others. She taught us to love deeply, to be kind, and to cherish every moment with those we hold dear. Her legacy lives on through the family that she loved so dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Valentine; her son, Ronny L. Valentine; her parents, Louis and Mary Muesse; her sister, Gladys Adler; her brother, Curtis Muesse; and her son-in-law, Charles Stinson.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Connie Valentine Stinson; her granddaughter, Christy Benson and husband, Robby; her grandsons, Clint Valentine and wife Randi, Michael Stinson and wife Tiffany, and Casey Valentine; her great-granddaughters, Chelsea Nachtigall and husband Carson, CharlieAnn Stinson, and Alyssa Humphreys; her great-grandsons, Trevor Robbins, Riley Robbins, Tristan Stinson, Dustin Engle, Austin Engle, and Bridger Humphreys; and her great-great-grandsons, Liam and Otis Nachtigall.

A celebration of Bernice's life will be at 12:00pm (noon) on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster with visitation beginning at 11:00am prior to the service. A graveside will be immediately following at Resthaven Memorial Park in Corsicana.
