Bernice Vilk Obituary
Bernice Vilk was born to Steve and Mary Marva in Shoaf, Pennsylvania. She was one of twelve children. She married Ted Vilk in 1956, and together they raised a family in Ohio. Ted and Bernice were married for 66 happy years.
Mom enjoyed polka music, Elvis Presley and Neal Diamond. She loved going to the beach. She made yummy pierogis, stuffed cabbage, and homemade bread. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always happy to babysit them. She dearly loved her sisters and spent many hours talking on the phone with them.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Ted, children Tom, Deb (Erik), Terri (Bob) and Jim (Liz), ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Mary Ann (Joe) and Helen, brother in law Walt, and many cousins, nieces nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the people that helped take care of Bernice, during her recent hospitalization, especially the nurses on five west at Summa Hospital.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 10am. Immediately following the mass interment will take at Oakwood Cemetery.

Dear Mr. Vilk, Tom, Deborah, Terri, Jim and the rest of the family. Bernice was such a close friend to my mom and dad and was "part of our family". She will be missed by so many. Please find comfort that she is at peace and has been reunited with her family and friends who have gone before her. You are in out thoughts and prayers.
