Bernice W. (Yoder) Zeiset, 94, of Souderton, PA, formerly of Bechtelsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

She was the devoted wife of the late George S. Zeiset, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, Bernice was the daughter of the late Nelson G. Yoder and the late Agnes (Reiter) Yoder.

Throughout her life, Bernice was a woman of faith, kindness, and generosity. She had many jobs including the former Harness House Belt Factory in New Berlinville, and was a school bus driver for Quigley Bus Service in Bally. No matter the job, she approached her work with diligence, joy, and care for those around her.

A longtime member of Bally Mennonite Church, Bernice faithfully served in many capacities, including Sunday school and Bible school teacher, youth sponsor, sewing circle member, and part of the kitchen committee. She was also a compassionate volunteer-driving cancer patients to appointments and sewing at the MCC Material Resource Center in Souderton and volunteering at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes, and Souderton Mennonite Homes.

Bernice found great joy in life's simple blessings. She loved gardening, growing flowers, baking, canning and freezing produce, and hosting family and friends for Sunday dinners. She enjoyed camping, traveling to visit her children and grandchildren, and playing games and the marimba. Her home was always filled with warmth, hospitality, and unconditional love.

She is survived by her three children: Bonnie Z. Opel & husband, John of Meridian, MS; Patricia Z. Crotty & husband, Thomas of Sinking Spring, PA; and George E. Zeiset & wife, Sandra of West Chester, PA; her son-in-law, Stanley Richardson of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren: Suzanne, Daniel, Peter, Anna, and Lily; and three sisters: Esther Rittenhouse of Souderton, PA, Mary Ann King of Telford, PA, and Dorothy Stoltzfus of Seaford, DE.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Z. Richardson, and two brothers, Jesse and Carl Yoder.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, PA 18964, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Inurnment will be private at Bally Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 21 S. 12th Street, Akron, PA 17501, or online at https://mcc.org.

Arrangements are by Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964. Online condolences may be shared at www.andersfh.com.
