Bernie Brugman

Bernie Brugman, age 57, a cherished resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on February 6, 2024. Born on February 5, 1967, in Louisville, Kentucky, Bernie was the beloved son of the late Eugene and Carol Brugman. Bernie was a devoted husband and father, known for his hardworking nature and unwavering dedication to his family. A great protector with a gentle soul, Bernie was renowned for his generosity, compassion, and tall stature. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Heather, and their two sons, Brody and Miles, whom he adored. Bernie and Heather shared 22 years of marriage filled with love and devotion. Growing up in a military family, Bernie experienced frequent moves before settling in Arkansas. He graduated from high school; there and pursued higher education at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas, where he earned his bachelor's degree. After completing his education, Bernie began his career in retail sales and ended as a Store Director for Reasors, exemplifying dedication and professionalism in his work. Bernie Brugman's legacy of love, hard work, and selflessness will forever be cherished by his family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Bernie was preceded in passing by his parents, Eugene Vincent Brugman and Carol Lee (Willoughby) Brugman, and his brother, Karl Brugman. He is survived by his wife, Heather Brugman; his son, Brody Brugman; son, Miles Brugman; his sister, Becky Brugman; sister, Barbara Roam and her husband, Joe; his sister-in-law, Missy Westerhold; his brother-in-law, Logan Chronister; his nephews, Josh Roam, and Jett Stevens and numerous other family members and friends.
The family invites all who knew Bernie to share stories and memories, ensuring that his sons, Brody and Miles, have a treasure trove of cherished moments to look back on in the future. Celebration of Life will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
