On Friday, June 9, 2023 at 6:00 a.m., God reached down and took the hand of Bernie Weber, 79, of Harrisville, Wisconsin and released him of years of physical pain.
Bernie was born in Chicago in 1944 to Frank and Rosalie (Tausz) Weber. At a young age, he took to liking trucks and wound up pursuing a career driving his own. During one of his stops, he met his wife of 58 years, Jane Bonner. On May 8, 1965, he made her an honest woman.
In 1965, Bernie started his own trucking business, Weber & Sons Enterprises. He drove until 1979. He then worked at Lake County Grading, Campanella & Sons; and lastly, Bolander where he retired. At that time, they moved to Harrisville, Wisconsin where he began collecting antique tractors, tinkering in the shop, and building bird houses.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Bonner); sons, Dustin (Christine) and Jim (Lisa); grandchildren, Zachary, Austin, Dylan, Sarah, Karlye, and Jared. He is also survived by his sister, Peg (Tom) as well as his beloved dog, Daisy Mae. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosalie Weber and his brother, John.
A visitation will be on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Westfield, Wisconsin with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 noon.
