He attended the Anson County School System at Bowman High School in Wadesboro, North Carolina. At a young age, he accepted Christ as his Savior at White Oak Baptist Church in Morven, North Carolina. In his free time, he liked to work, watch television, and spend time with his sons.
On Thursday, August 14, 2025, he passed away and took his final rest. He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Pratt, as well as both of his parents: James Edwards Pratt and Lillie Mae Rorie Little; two brothers: Robert Pratt and Lezer Pratt; and one uncle, Floyd Rorie.
He is survived by four children: Burnis Pratt Jr., Wendell Watts, Mario Watts, and Kimberly Watts, all from Morven, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; three siblings: Isaac Little (Stephanie), Travis Townsend, and Margrett Watts; one aunt, Johnnie Mae Rorie along with many other relatives and friends. He is already deeply missed. To know him was to love him.
