Bert Ellis Alexander, age 92, passed away on December 23, 2025, and was reunited at the gates of Heaven with his beloved wife, Bobbie. Born October 1, 1933, he was a resident of Stapleton, Alabama. He lived a life defined by service, hard work, generosity, and devotion to family.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association. He retired after 31 years with Kerr-McGee Chemicals.

A devoted family man and loving father, Bert enjoyed yard work, handyman projects, and time spent at family gatherings. He was always willing to help others and will be remembered for his kindness and steady presence.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie; stepson Benjy Willis; parents James Earlie and Effie Alexander; sisters Oneita Fielder and Shelby Butler; and brothers James Earlie Alexander, Billy Ray Alexander, and John Ervin Alexander.

He is survived by his children Candice (Steve) Dominy and Johnny (Ashley) Alexander, both of Stapleton, Alabama; stepson Donny (Cheryl) Willis of Odenville, Alabama; grandchildren Justin (Shannon) Willis, Joshua Willis, Christina (Erik) Morris, Brett (Amelia) Alexander, Ben Willis, Katie Alexander, Trey Willis, and Daniel Willis; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held December 30, 2025, from 12:30–1:30 p.m. at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, Alabama. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Korean War Veterans Association at: https://kwva.us/. Expressions of condolence may be offered at https://hughesfh.com.
