Dear Grandpa~ I just wanted to write you a note to let you know that I am thinking of you and Grandma as always. I feel like it's been another long year without you. So far, this year isn't that good. I feel lonely. More than normal, I guess. I have been talking to Chris lately. We were just talking about all the good memories of just being down at your house and all the fun we had with you guys and together. We were talking about how we used to load up in the back of the old red pickup truck and cruise around town. It was fun. I hope that I will see you guys again some day because there's hardly anyone left for me to talk to. I gave mom some flowers to take down to Ladoga. I thought they was pretty. I think of you guys always. I love you forever & ever. Love, Your Grandaughter

Dear Grandpa, I just wanted you to know that I'm still thinking about you all the time and that I miss you more and more every year. I was just talking to mom about you not too long ago. I think mom doesn't like talking about things. Maybe it hurts her too much. But, I was telling her how I learned a lot from you. You really were the best grandpa in the whole world. Maybe it's memories I've already talked about but, Saturday mornings were the best. I am 50 now and I can't imagine sitting every weekend and watching cartoons. I hope you really did enjoy them. I miss squeezing onto your lap in the rocking chair and watching cartoons with you. I remember your hugs and I was your little toe-head. You would play games with me and you taught me how to play euchre. You gave me money and taught me how to use it and save it and even when I eventually snuch up to the Waveland's grocery store and spent it all, you and grandma knew I was upset and you didn't yell at me. I remember you and grandma always making sure I had a pretty dress and going to Wavelan's park for the fish fry or whatever it was. We'd walk around and you'd hold my hand like you was afraid I was going to get away. No one loves me like you and grandma did. I guess I remember being loved by you no matter what and no matter how old I got. I didn't get enough time with you and I wish you were still here. I love you so much and miss you more than any words can describe.. Love you always

Grandpa,
Another year without you and grandma. I haven't thought of you any less. I think about you all the time and all the fun memories I have of being at your house. I remember playing outside on the swing set, rolling down hill and getting chigger bites, sitting up in the apple tree all day. I remember thinking how cool I thought you were when I was watching you mow the yard. You were always wearing a white t-shirt with your Lucky Strike cigarettes rolled up in the sleeve. I was so lucky and I miss you so much.

Grandpa, I think about you all the time. I wish all the time that I was a little girl again. I loved going to your house. My memory this time is of how we used wake up early on Saturday mornings and I'd sit in your lap in the chair by the window. We'd watch cartoons together. I love you.
