And treasured our friendship. I guess you've heard by now .. Nick
Chilivis passed away at home October 4th. I have kept up with Patti and Nick.. Still

I worked at the National Bank of Georgia when Mr. Lance was President. His office was not more than 40 feet from my desk. Mr. Lance was a kind and charismatic gentle giant. He never forgot a name or failed to speak. My condolences to David and the rest of your family.

I am the only one left of the family of Mr & Mrs. Henry Gallman of Murray County whom had those Dinners every August. He loved the whole Lance Family. Hope the family finds peace in knowing Bert is waiting on you all. We loved him and his family very much

Mr. Lance was a self-less person, who conmmitted his life to others and other's dreams. A true public servant and servant of Christ. He was a friend and mentor to me and made my dream of becoming a lawyer a reality!!! He will forever be remembered and missed! God Bless LaBelle and the Lance family, my prayers are with you all.

Bert Lance was a wonderful man and Christian. One of the most intelligent guys in the Carter Administration that I knew. I wish that God would let some people reverse the aging process, where we could keep them around another generation. We could certainly use s democrat such as him in DC today. My sincerest regrets and condolences to his surviving family.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
