May our sweet Lord comfort your hearts as you mourn Mr. Bert's passing. We have nothing but sweet memories of him. We loved worshiping with him, listening to his stories, and eating his fresh vegetables that he was so kind to share.
He led a full and rich life. He ate well for sure, enjoying God's bounty. He loved people, especially family.
Know that we are praying for you all. Your family is precious to us, especially Mrs. Mary Frances. Give her a hug for me.
All our love,
Randy and Dawn McCollum and family

Mr. Bert was a very well-loved member of Willow Point Baptist Church! When I was children´s Minister, I asked for volunteers to help and he always was one of the first to say, "I´ll do it!" He also loved to be the students prayer partners. He certainly will be missed!

BW Mercer was my Uncle B. He always had a good word to say to anyone. He was so full of energy, having a garden right up until the end. His goal was to be the first Mercer to live to 100 and I encouraged him to go for it. The last time I saw him. he was having trouble remembering names. I said do you know a beautiful little redheaded girl and he said I do remember a beautiful redheaded girl Freida. So many people loved him and so many are sad to see him go. RIP with God my precious uncle.
