Berta Byrd Aue

Berta Byrd Aue, 86, of Live Oak, FL passed away on November 15, 2024. Berta was born to Lamb & Claudie Johnson Byrd on March 14, 1938. Berta was known for her love of the outdoors and her dedication to working on the farm alongside her husband, Curtis. They were true partners in life. Berta was also a talented cook and had a nurse's heart, always visiting and caring for others in times of need. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She was a longtime member of the Orange Baptist Church, where she found community and faith. Berta was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Curtis, as well as her six sisters, Agnes, Edna, Ruby, Hazel, Alma, and Lee, and her two brothers, Henry and Acie.
Berta is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jean Aue, her son, Don Curtis Aue and his wife Wendy, her sister, Jean Sullivan and her husband Ferrell, her sister-in-law, Miriam Byrd, and her grandson, Cordale Aue.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 6-8pm at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak, FL. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11am at Orange Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
