Susan Wright, age 84, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 5, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with dementia.
Born on May 3, 1941, Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Richard, and together they raised a loving family that was always at the center of her heart. She is survived by two of her three children — Charles Wright, Laura Hawley (Greg) and Neil Wright — and 3 cherished grandchildren- Villian Riberio, Elizabeth (Liz) Wright and Isabella (Bella) Ackerman who brought her endless joy.
A longtime member of Trinity on the Hill, Susan lived her faith through acts of kindness, generosity, and service. She lovingly gave her time to the Lydia Project, sewing bags, collecting clothes and Boxtops for Bluebird Missions in the Appalachias and she was deeply involved in her church and community, always ready to help those in need.
Susan will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her gentle spirit, and the compassion she poured into everything she did — from her family to her friends and her neighbors.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Trinity on the Hill, 1330 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.

Susan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the joy of knowing her.
