Funeral service for Bertha Blanchard of Longbridge will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with Paster Shane Deville officiating. Burial will follow at the Belledeau Baptist Cemetery.
Bertha Blanchard, age 90, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Virginia Blanchard Jenkins (Jeremy), Glenn Blanchard (Rhonda), Charles Blanchard, Chris Blanchard (Shelia), and Bryan Blanchard, Sr. (Nancy). She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, Alec Fondren, Nathan Blanchard, Cameron Blanchard, Remington Blanchard, Miracle Arceneaux, Charles “C.J.” Blanchard, Jr., Monique Gautro, Vincent Blanchard, Katelyn Mayeux, Danielle Blanchard, Mariah Blanchard, Byran Blanchard, Jr., Sarah Clairday, Michael Pecanty, and Bryan Pecanty; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Blanchard; parents, Albert & Leonie Lemoine Dubord; sisters, Edna Gaspard and Annie Ortego; brothers, Frank Dubord and Harry Dubord.
Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until 11:00am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
