She is survived by her children, Darrell Ferrell, Joseph Carter, Jr., and Lyle Ferrell, all of Danville, VA, Joel Carter of Fredricksburg, VA and Christy Hix of Fayetteville, along with twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
