Bertha Jones Obituary
Bertha Mae Jones (74) was born February 28, 1949 in Lester, West Virginia. Bertha made her peaceful transition on August 18, 2023.
Bertha was preceded in death by her beloved mother and father Katherine and Samuel Poindexter; and her sister Caroll K. Walker.
Bertha graduated from Linden McKinley in 1967. After graduating, she lived and worked in New York City for ten years. Upon returning to Columbus, she worked at Steego Auto Parts prior to retiring from Westminster Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping on HSN, and spending time with her family.
Anyone who knew Bertha, loved her!
Bertha leaves to cherish her memory, her sister and brother Lolitta Leavell and James (Nadene) Poindexter; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

I met Ms. Bertha in 2020. She was a joy to talk to. She was a beautiful Human Being and I am so blessed having known her. It was like I knew her my entire life. Hearing of her passing hurts, but I know she is Soaring with the Angels.
