Ms. Bertha Viola Milner

Bertha Viola Milner, 92, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Erickson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Bertha was born on July 17, 1914 in New Florence, Mo. the daughter of Robert H. and Flora Cragar Johnson. On February 17, 1934 she married Carl Douglas Milner and he preceded her in death. She will always be remembered by her great cooking, and also her wonderful vegetable garden. Survivors include three children, Harold E. Milner, and his wife Mary, Shirley M. Poore, and her husband Arnold, Douglas R. Milner, and his wife Jo Ellen; five grandchildren, Teresa Poore, Dale Poore, Bryan Milner, Angie Marshall, Allison Milner; two step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Henningsen, Andrew Francis; five great-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren; two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Steven Milner; five brothers; five sisters.
