Bertha Sue Rottmiller, 73, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born January 17, 1952, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Gomer and Orkie (Boggs) Terry.
On November 7, 1970, at Zion Lutheran Church, West Fairfield she married Robert Lee "Bob" Rottmiller. He survives in Kendallville.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Wolcottville.
Mrs. Rottmiller had worked as a lunch lady in the cafeteria for East Noble.
Bertha loved to cook and collect cook books. She could often be found sitting on the back porch with her cats watching wildlife on the family farm.
Also surviving are a daughter, Robin (Jeff) Gillenwater of Kendallville; a son, William Lee (Vicki) Rottmiller of Brownsburg; a grandson, Brandon Kimmell of Waterloo; and a great-grandson, Carter Kimmell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Brower officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery in LaGrange County.
Pallbearers are Mark Howe, Austin Mead, Mike Mickem, Todd Lang, Chad Gulick, and Rodney Paris.
Memorials may be directed to The Waters of Fort Wayne Activities Department for Memory Springs, 5544 East State Blvd., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815.
