Born on July 2, 1941, in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Lockie Tolley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brother; Lloyd Ledford, her sister-in-law and best friend; Hester Ledford, a nephew; Bill Ledford, a niece; Libby Ledford, great niece, Tiffany Ledford and a great-great nephew; Logan Putnam.
Left to cherish her memories are her niece; Lisa Reeves and husband, Phillip of Morganton, great nieces; Jessica Reeves-Murphy and husband, James and Kelly Ledford Tipton, her great nephew; Matthew Reeves and wife, Hilary, great-great niece; Charlotte Reeves, and great-great nephews; Connor Reeves, River Putnam, and Jordan Putnam. A special cousin, Judy Crowder and a special friend, Suzanne Baker.
Bertha retired from Century Furniture following twenty years of service. She loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved her family and made everyone feel as though they were her favorite person in the world. She also enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and going on walks.
Funeral services for Bertha Tolley will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. Matthew Reeves will provide the eulogy. Interment will be in the Big Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery.
