CLINTON — Mr. Bertice Elwood Caison, 86, of 283 Hamilton Drive, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 24, at 2 p.m. in the Clinton Cemetery with Rev. Cubby Reiber officiating with Military Honors.
Born in 1938 in Sampson County, Elwood was the son of the late Andrew Bertis and Eliza Hobbs Caison. He was the widow of the love of his life, Geraldine Rose Barr Caison. He was a retired employee with Lundy Packing Co. after 38 years of service and a former employee with Wellons Construction Co of Dunn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Elwood is survived by his daughter, Brenda Caison Levai, and husband, David of Macon; son, William Caison, and wife, Jennifer of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; three grandchildren, Jonathan Levai and wife, Nancy, Katie Caison, and Emily Caison; two great-grandchildren, Jaden Levai and Valerie Levai. He is also survived by special friends Jimmy and Melody Holland of Clinton. Jamie Holland (Summer) of Salemburg and his Buddy, "Lili". The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and other times at his home.
