Bertie Mae Floyd

Bertie Mae Floyd, age 91, of North Sulpher Wells Road in Irvine, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, following a long illness. She was born January 21, 1932, in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hallie Rose Hawkins. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Spout Springs Baptist Church, where she served as a Piano Player, Singer, Sunday School Teacher, and Bible School Teacher. She had lived in Estill County all her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Floyd, and she is survived by:
1 daughter: Demetria Rogers (Michael) - Estill Co.
3 sons: Anthony D. Floyd (Sandra Kay) - Powell Co.
Timothy P. Floyd (Vonda) - Estill Co.
Mark Floyd (Donna) - Estill Co.
1 sister: Sue Caldwell - Jackson Co.
1 brother: Russell Hawkins - Ohio
8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren
Special niece: Tamara Fox
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Addie Lee Cummins, and 4 brothers, Henry, Willie, Raymond, and Tommy Hawkins Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 12, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Timothy Floyd officiating. Burial will be at the Johnny Richardson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
