Many fond memories of my uncle Bert and always loved our family reunions in Miami and our times in the Everglades. Uncle Bert was so wise and his wit would keep you on your toes. I learned so much every time I was in his presence. If they have swap meets in heaven I know where you Dad and Uncle Bob will be this weekend.
Thanks for always believing in me and all your love, you had a big impact on me and my life.
Love you Rick

Missing funny, smart and wise Bert, my father-in-law for 12 years. So grateful for the time we had.
Rest In Peace, Bert.

He was my Uncle and a wonderful Officer and Gentleman with a superb wit, uncanny sense of humor, and an incredible intellect. Without a doubt, he was a pinnacle member of our country's Greatest Generation of people. I loved every minute I spent with him as a child, adolescent, and adult, and he made a very positive impact on my life, as well as on the lives of everyone in his family and large circle of friends. Anchors Aweigh, Fair Winds and Following Seas, and God speed my fine Uncle, as you set off on your next voyage through the heavens......
