Beryl M. Terviel

Beryl M. Terviel, age 85, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Trustwell Living at Cherryvale Place in Rockford, IL. She was born September 24, 1939 in Rochelle, IL the daughter to Lester and Anna (Smith) Barnes. Beryl graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1957. She married Ellsworth L. “Butch” Terviel in 1969 at the Red Brick Church in Stillman Valley. They were happily married for over 52 years. She worked for Testor Corporation in Rockford for many years prior to starting her own business. She owned and operated Beryl’s Country Ceramics for approximately 40 years. Beryl liked to do crafts of all types. She was predeceased by her parents Lester and Anna Barnes and her husband Butch. She is survived by her step-children Scott Terviel of Stillman Valley, IL; Kathy Terviel of Rockford, IL; and Steve Terviel of Camdenton, MO; step-granddaughters Tiffany and April Terviel; and step-great grandchildren Bianca, Tori, Daniel, Hector, and Michael. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 West Roosevelt Road in Stillman Valley, IL followed by a 2:30 graveside service at Stillman Valley Cemetery with Heartland Hospice Chaplin Pam Lojewski officiating. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care of Beryl. A memorial fund is established in Beryl’s name for Heartland Hospice.
