After a nine-month battle with cancer, Beteena "Teena" Paradise, age 60, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband. Born on August 7 1965, in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Gary and Sandra Gazette Kessinger.
Teena started her adult life working in the information technology sector and later decided to devote her energy to helping others, returning to nursing school at the age of 47, where she graduated as the valedictorian of her class. She was passionate about nursing and cared deeply for all of her patients, coworkers, and friends. She also had a passion for historic costuming and dance, as well as watching K-Dramas with her family.
She is survived by her husband, David Paradise, and her two fur babies, Izzy and Gidget.
