Beth Anne Hanna

Beth-Anne Hanna passed away peacefully at her home on February 18, 2026, at the age of 66. She was born June 27, 1959, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and she grew up in Pickford, Michigan, where she attended Pickford High School. She married Brien Hanna on January 31, 1976, and they have four children: Rachel, Richard, Jared and Kurt.

Beth's greatest joys in life were simple things. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and a good game of cribbage. She was especially proud of once scoring the elusive 29 hand. But whether casting a line or playing a round of golf, she was truly at home outdoors. Beth spent her youth on the family farm on Blair Road where she developed a lifelong love of horses. She enjoyed gardening and delighted in feeding and watching the birds and deer in her yard. Also an avid angler, she particularly enjoyed fishing perch in Canada and loved to gather her children and grandchildren for fish fries. Beyond her legendary fish frying skills, she was also a talented singer and pianist. She played numerous local weddings and celebrations, and, for a time, Sunday church services.

Above all, Beth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband Brien; children, Rachel (Marty) McDermott, Richard Hanna, Jared (Heidi) Hanna, and Kurt (Meghan) Hanna; sister Kelly (Rod) Slater, brother Mike (Paulette) Wise; grandchildren, Mia McDermott, Evan McDermott, William Hanna, Genievieve Hanna, Emory Hanna, Oliver Hanna, Eloise Hanna, Harvey Hanna and Hunter Hanna; and niece and nephews, MacKenzie Wise, Nick Wise and Jack Slater.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Gerry Wise; her brother, Gary Wise; her nephew, Rob Slater; and her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hanna.

A private memorial will be held this summer.
